Terms of Service

Effective date: April 6, 2026

1. Provider

These Terms of Service govern the use of Skoll and skoll.app, operated by:

Nicolas Böse (operating under the name Prynos)
An der Eisenbahn 8b, 28832 Achim, Germany
Email: contact@skoll.app

2. Scope of Services

Skoll is a Discord bot with a web-based management dashboard available at skoll.app. The service allows Discord server administrators to manage bot features, server settings, and optionally subscribe to a paid plan for extended functionality.

The service is provided “as is”. Features available on the free and paid plans are described on the website and may change over time.

3. Account Registration

Access to the dashboard requires authentication via Discord OAuth2. By connecting your Discord account you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or meet the minimum age required in your country to use Discord) and that the information provided is accurate.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@skoll.app.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Skoll offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe. All prices are shown in EUR.

As a Kleinunternehmer pursuant to § 19 UStG, Nicolas Böse does not charge VAT. No VAT will be added to your invoice.

Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment details. Recurring charges will continue until you cancel your subscription.

Subscription upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer (Verbraucher) within the meaning of § 13 BGB, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

Loss of right of withdrawal for digital services: By subscribing to a paid plan you expressly request that we begin providing the digital service immediately. You acknowledge that your right of withdrawal expires once the service has begun, in accordance with § 356 para. 5 BGB.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal before the service begins, contact us at contact@skoll.app.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard or by contacting contact@skoll.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

In the event of a billing error, contact us within 30 days and we will review the charge.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control (e.g. Discord API outages, hosting provider downtime).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any part of it at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

8. User Obligations

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
  • Use the service for illegal purposes or to distribute harmful content
  • Share access to the dashboard with unauthorised third parties

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these obligations without prior notice.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, liability for damages is excluded, unless caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Liability for injury to life, body, or health, and mandatory statutory liability (e.g. under the German Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.

We are not liable for damages arising from third-party services (Discord, Railway, Stripe, Supabase) or from events outside our reasonable control.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address for this purpose is contact@skoll.app.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply.

The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants (Kaufleute), legal entities under public law, or public-law special funds is Achim, Germany.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
